Wow! Lately we’ve been getting a lot of inquiries not only from our surrounding areas, but from up to FOUR hours away! I can’t even begin to tell you what an honor it is to know that clients are willing to come so far for our fine art portraiture!  It was an absolute privilege photographing this brand new family.  Miss J is also the newest member of our baby plan, so you’ll be seeing a lot more of this cutie!

Alllll the way from Kingsland – {Kingsland GA newborn photographer}

It means the world to me to know that clients will travel 2 hours to have their newborn portraits done by us! Better yet….they went with the baby plan, so I get the privilege of  watching this little cutie pie grow up over the next year.  I had so much fun with this family and their PERFECT little girl! I so enjoyed our duggar and little couple conversations while little bear slept and posed perfectly for us! :P

I can’t stress enough about how important it is to have these precious FEW days photographed!  In my personal and professional opinion, the newborn stage is THE most important stage and they outgrow it sooo quickly!   I hear regrets about not having newborns photographed by a professional photographer way too often!  :( To inquire about having your newborn photographed call us at 912-596-0832 or info@memoriesforkeepsake.com.  Although we leave a few days off a week open to schedule newborns, the spots fill quickly so for best results, call while you are expecting.

It is with great honor to announce that we were asked by the American Cancer Society to donate a piece of art to their annual auction fundraiser! Both mine and my husband’s family has been affected by cancer in more than one way, and it is with great honor and joy that I will be part of their fundraiser in the fall of 2010!  For this event, I am looking for a newborn model who will be born either in March or April.  The chosen family will receive a 16×20 gift wall portrait of the chosen image.  Please email us for more information: info@memoriesforkeepsake.com

Summer family sessions – {Savannah GA family photographer}

We are booking our summer family portraits VERY quickly this year! If you are coming from out of town (or have family that will be) please make sure to book your on-location session a couple of months in advance for your needed date/time.

We always leave open slots on our schedule for newborn and maternity portraiture! For best results, call while you are expecting :)

Oh sweet sweet squishy baby – {Savannah GA newborn photographer}

I LOVE it when moms value the importance of getting their little ones in immediately after they are born! This little guy was brand spanking new, and slept for us the whole time! I really enjoyed this new little family!

Wow!!! is all I can say about the amount of votes we got for the best of 2009 blog contest! All that HAIR! {Savannah GA photographers}

I love moms that understand the value and importance of capturing those FEW precious first weeks of life! This mom is the picture perfect example of a mom who understands and values newborn photography :) Of course when you have such a cute little bundle, who can resist??  Typically newborn portraiture is best done before 3 weeks of age.  However, we can sometimes make exceptions for babies up to 6 weeks depending on their size and sleep habits.  This little one was actually 4 weeks and did such a great job sleeping for us :)

Buddies – {Savannah GA photographers}

Oh the joy I’ve shared with this family! So, a few months ago my mom says “you should really photograph pets”…this coming from someone who replaced my brother and I with two Labrador retrievers (one girl and one boy ironically) who now make the family Christmas cards every year (I know my mom is reading this, so I had to add that in)….she knows I’m kidding :)   I LOVE my furry siblings and nephew :)   Anyway, I’m a children’s and baby photographer and I specialize in children, newborn and baby subjects…not puppies, so I laughed.  A couple of days later Tracy contacts me with her idea…..

You think I’m kidding when I say MY clients have THE most gorgeous kids I’ve ever seen! Perhaps I’m a little bit biased about my babies, but seriously…aren’t they are just GORGEOUS! I was soooo excited to see this little one’s big brother, and he was just as beautiful with those same ole big blue eyes! :)   They  had me giggling the whole time…..see why?

The cutest little newborn – {Savannah GA newborn photographer}

I normally tell my newborn parents to be prepared for a L*O*N*G session.  I normally stress looooonnnnggg BECAUSE it’s always better when I’m wrong and they last an hour, but typical newborn sessions last anywhere from 2-3 hours.  This little guy said he was going to make mom and I WORK and this is what he thought about going to sleep….

So we cuddled him, we swaddled him, we fed him, mom drove him around in the car….and…..

blog_8948Nothing!  Something about that fuzzy little head just makes my heart melt though :)   He was perfectly content just to stay awake and model for us…well, ok so not COMPLETELY content.  Finally I got mom to hand him over and I swaddled him, and rocked him….and sang to him (ok I’m totally not telling the truth about the singing…lol) BUT…..

blog_8972Wah lah…..that’s the story of the 5 hour newborn session :)
