These guys were a bit older than I liked when mom called, but I couldn’t BELIEVE how well they did for 3 weekers!

Safety first
Ok guys! The nitty gritty on the mother’s day minis! They are NEXT weekend, May 4th from 9-1 in studio only. There are no stipulations on the age of your child…we will adjust the mini based on the age of your little one . I’ve got a few things planned for this one, so there aren’t really any “themes” in place. We’ll be setting up phone consultations to talk customized ideas for you and your little ones. Up to 2 children please for individual shots with mom and EACH child (because they will want that one day) If you have more than two children, we will just need a couple of time slots booked, ask about those rates.
Book ahead as these will fill quickly!
This little gal has the coolest name! I’m going to try and get one of my daughters to name their girls Ramey when the time comes. I could just say it over and over and over again…..plus, it helps that she’s SUPER adorable!
SWEETEST.FAMILY.EVER! I have these families that I’m screaming in the back of my mind to: PLEASE HAVE ANOTHER BABY! Like seriously…these people are so pretty that they should have like 10 I may get slapped by this mommy next time she sees me, but enough already…it’s time for another one! 
If you are a firefighter, EMS, Police officer…you just hold a special place in my heart I think we should have a “first responder appreciation day” …remember me when Obama declares one! ha! Plus a man in uniform AND holding a newborn….EEK! *someone catch me before I faint*

I love listening to children tell me what they want to be when they grow up! My kids come up with some good stuff! ” I want to be a ninja!” “No, I want to be a fisherman.” ” I want to be a professional bug catcher”….but my personal favorite came from my 14 year old daughter a couple of weeks ago. “I think I’m going to be a sniper…but I just want to be called ‘the sniper’…like I don’t want to actually shoot people”. I think one of my favorite things about photographing children is just there mere fact that I COULD be holding the next Julia Roberts in my hands. Better yet…I COULD be holding the doctor that holds the answer to curing unimaginable diseases, or the president. So cool!
So when this mommy came in with her BEAUTIFUL little bundle, she was SO excited for her newborn session! I had all this stuff planned for her, had all my goodies laid out nice and neat for little missy, had props ready to go…….and you HAVE to worry just a little when you get this:
Ok that’s not TOO bad right…I mean, I have newborns that come in bright eyed and bushy tailed all the time. We go with it! We swaddle them and get all these cute little wide eyed shots and before you know it, they are sacked out like a little sack of potatoes and ready to get the show on the road! NOT this lady…….she was ready to party and she was going to be awake for our party THE ENTIRE SESSION! I will say though…we went with it! At least if your going to be awake, you need to rock the awake baby shots right?
haha! We did get her to snooze for like seconds at a time. In the few seconds she did sleep, she gave us some good stuff!

When this mom contacted us, her little lady was already over the time frame we recommend for newborn portraiture. We modified our baby plan for her though, and I’m SO glad we did! Little girl rocked her 3 month session and I JUST got her back for the standard 5 month session this past week! I’ve had SO much fun with them and am so thankful that I get to watch this princess grow for the next year!
I photographed this little lady’s big sister’s first year too….and to me, they look so much alike! Although this can be a difficult stage to photograph, it’s still important that we include them with our baby plans because it’s SUCH a cute stage!!!
